A portion of the City of Redmond’s lodging tax—called the Transient Lodging Tax (TLT)—is reinvested to grow and enhance Redmond tourism for the benefit of both the visitor and the economic sustainability of the community. As required by Oregon law, these funds help us promote Redmond as a destination and improve visitor experiences through the Destination Redmond program.
The Redmond Tourism and Lodging Advisory Committee was formed in 2023 to advise the City Council on issues pertaining to the strategic use of the statutorily required investment of City Transient Lodging Tax dollars in tourism and tourism-related activities.
Destination Redmond, operating under the Redmond Tourism and Lodging Advisory Committee, was formed in 2024 to assume the responsibility of marketing the City of Redmond and the surrounding amenities.
The Redmond Tourism and Lodging Advisory Committee will hold quarterly meetings that the public are welcome to join. Details of those meetings can be located online HERE.
